HAMISH ANDERSON PREMIERES “YOU GIVE ME SOMETHING” VIDEO

Los Angeles, Calif. – Los Angeles-based “Australian guitar phenom” (-Guitar World) Hamish Anderson released the video for the single “You Give Me Something” on mxdwn featuring “Anderson playing the song on his guitar in a darkened room, with a mysterious woman (played by Mercy Joy Corlew) standing at a table making what appears to be a creating a witch’s brew and putting Anderson under her spell.”

The single is on 2019s acclaimed sophomore album Out of My Head that “recalls Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at their most defiant and boasts some lightning-strike guitar work from Anderson. (-Relix)

Explains Hamish, ““Sonically, I wrote my last single, ‘You Give Me Something’ to feel like a cross between John Lee Hooker and T. Rex in the modern age,” said Anderson. “When we created its video, I really wanted to dial up the tension and swagger that the song has, so we leaned into a story about lust and being under a spell. The lighting was a big part of the video reflecting the darker/moodier side of things.”

Hamish has just completed his second tour opening for Gary Clark Jr in his home country of Australia and will then return to the US to begin a radio campaign around the album single “World’s Gone Mad.”
